The sequence of nitrogenous bases that constitutes the DNA chain is unique in each living species, therefore molecular identification is much more accurate than any other traditional system or technique, such as classical taxonomy or TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography for plants). This guarantees the botanical identity of the extract and its purity, excluding contamination with other botanical species.
